Live Music @ Number Eleven, The Old High Street, Folkestone.
Sunday Sessions kick off on 18th October with Dulcie May Moreno - People's Music Awards nominee - Best female.
Stripped to the bone sultry and soulful, Dulcie May is perfect for lounging on hazy Sunday afternoons with a jazz woodbine over the Sunday papers. Ignoring the lessons learned after Charles Manson she claims to have hippy friends and comes from Guildford, though she more than makes up for this with her breathy organic and sultry tones. She takes her musical cues from Nina Simone, John Martyn and Tracy Chapman with the aim of reaching deep into the river of your soul.
We will be open for drinks and traditional bar snacks inspired by our new Autumn menu from 6pm-11pm.
For more details or to book a table call 01303 259 535 or email info@numberelevenfolkestone.co.uk.

This Weekend: ChariVari and the sandcastle competition
Just to let you all know that Number Eleven will be serving refreshing Pimms, and fruit sorbets to accompany ChariVari carnival which is due to pass the restaurant around 2pm.
The team will also be representing down at Sunny Sands on Sunday for the Sandcastle competition. We are thinking of designing a prawn or fish shaped sandcastle in keeping with the culinary theme, if you have a suggestion or preference then let us know! Half the money raised will go to The Church Street Project and half to Cancer Research. Pop in and sponsor us and we will post the pictures of the final sandcastle next week.
Enjoy the sunshine!

Artwork available at Number Eleven
We are really proud to be a part of the Creative Foundation, and are happy that we get to show work in the restaurant by local artists. We would like to introduce a short biography by one of these artists. All the paintings on show in the restaurant are available to buy.
Charlotte Harris was born in Ashford, Kent in 1981 and currently works from her studio in Folkestone. She studied at Leeds Metropolitan University and in 2003 won the National Portrait Gallery’s BP Portrait Award. She has exhibited both in the UK and internationally and her portrait of Dame Vivien Duffield forms part of the National Portrait Gallery’s collection. As well as portraits Charlotte produces various contemporary still life pieces. She particularly likes dealing with textures, reflections and unusual compositions. The prints on display are limited edition and subject matter ranges from lemons to marbles.

Chef/owner of Number Eleven - Douglas commissioned local artist Shane Record to paint a picture of Number Eleven for his 30th birthday. We are all really pleased with the job that he has done and look forward to hanging it in pride of place in the restaurant.

Number Eleven Reviewed By Top Table
"For a lazy meal in the old seaside town of Folkestone, we highly recommend Number 11 located in the town's Old High Street. Cosy and charming, this light-filled cafe-come-restaurant has built up a loyal following amongst locals, and is famous for its sensational brunch which is served from 10am-3pm, and its classic modern British menu and homemade cakes. Number 11 boasts original wooden floors, an elegant dove-grey exterior and smiley service, all which add to its quaint, gourmet charm. Favourites from the bistro-style menu include the celeriac soup with truffle oil, traditional Sunday roasts and the homemade chocolate brownies. Number 11 is suitable for afternoon tea, business dining, dates and cocktails. "
